✅ TIP-010 – Switch Your Posture

Switch Your Posture – Change the Body, Shift the Mind

What This Tip Does

Your posture is one of the fastest ways to send a new signal to your brain.
When stress tightens you up, your body collapses inward.
Changing your posture — even slightly — interrupts that loop and gives your nervous system a different message: “We’re okay. Reset.”

How to Do It

  1. Notice how you’re sitting or standing right now.
  2. Gently shift — straighten, open, or adjust your position.
  3. Let your ribcage lift just a little.
  4. Release the jaw and soften your shoulders.
  5. Hold the new posture for 5–10 seconds and breathe.

Why It Works

The body communicates upward.
A minor adjustment can break the stress posture, improve breathing, and create an immediate sense of clarity and presence.

When to Use It

  • When you feel yourself shrinking into tension
  • When your mind starts looping
  • During long sitting or screen time
  • Whenever you feel stuck or overwhelmed
