#10 — Attention as a Beam of Energy

Where your attention goes, energy flows.
Attention isn’t just focus — it’s the beam that powers your whole system. When your energy feels low, it often means your beam has been split into too many directions.

Think of attention as light. Wherever you direct it, that area of your life becomes more vivid and alive. But the more directions you scatter it, the dimmer each one becomes.

The Direction

Every thought and action you focus on receives your energy. When you give attention to what uplifts you — learning, connection, meaningful work — your system gets stronger. When you feed noise, drama, or endless comparison, you drain that same power.
Ask yourself during the day: What am I lighting up right now?

The Width

Attention can be wide or narrow. A wide beam helps you take in new possibilities and stay open. A narrow beam gives you precision and depth.
If your beam is too wide all day — multitasking, scrolling, reacting — your mind feels scattered.
If it’s too narrow for too long — obsessing or over-focusing — you lose perspective.
Balance is the art: know when to zoom out and when to zoom in.

The Intensity

Intensity is how bright the beam is. Too intense on small things burns you out. Too weak on what matters leaves you dull.
You don’t need more energy — you need better control of your light.

Each time you gather your attention back from distractions, you reclaim your power.
Pause. Breathe. Imagine your beam collecting itself and returning home.
Clarity rises the moment your energy stops leaking.

🧠 Task: Reclaim Your Beam

For one day, note three moments when your attention drifts — maybe to a screen, a worry, or someone else’s drama. Each time, close your eyes for five seconds and mentally say, “Back to center.”
At the end of the day, notice how your body feels when your attention belongs to you again.

In other words…
Attention is your personal energy source. Learning to direct, focus, and relax it changes how alive you feel. When you notice where your mental light is going — and adjust it like a flashlight — you stop wasting energy and start living with presence and calm power.
